The short version
How to delete your Tatva account and what happens to your data, in the app or by writing to us.
1. In the app
Open Account, then Delete account. We send a one-time code to your mobile number to confirm it is you. After you confirm, you are signed out on every device and your account enters a 14-day grace period. You can stop the deletion during that time. At the end of the 14 days it is carried out and cannot be undone.
2. Without the app
If you no longer have the app, write to [contact email] from the email on your account, or tell us the mobile number the account uses, and we will start the deletion for you after confirming it is you. We reply by email.
3. What is deleted
Your profile, name, mobile number, area, boards, photos you added and, for professionals, your portfolio and verification documents. Notification tokens and signed-in devices are removed. Messages you sent stay with the people you wrote to and show as from Former member, with no link to your name.
4. What we may keep
Records we must keep to meet the law, to resolve a dispute or complaint, or to prevent misuse, such as an audit trail of account actions, are kept only as long as that need lasts. [Retention periods to be confirmed by counsel.]
